We are happy to welcome new members to our faith. We encourage the parents to be registered active members before a Baptism can be scheduled. Active means attending church on a regular basis. Baptism is both a gift and a responsibility.
A baptismal pre-registration package can be obtained at the Parish Office. When all requirements are met, the Deacon will meet with the parents to set a definite date.
Infant Baptism is generally celebrated on the first
and third Sunday after the last Mass (effective January
1, 2007). Parents must be registered in this parish,
be practicing the Catholic faith and attend a Baptismal
Preparation Class. Parents are required to register
their children for Baptism prior to the Baptism Preparation
Class. For Baptism registration and current schedule,
please contact the Parish Office at 772-286-4590
or via e-mail to Mrs. Alvena Clark at alvenac@bellsouth.net.
Baptismal Preparation Class is scheduled on the second Monday of the month. Parents and Godparents are required to attend Baptismal Preparation Class prior to the Baptism of the child.
At least one Godparent is required to be a practicing Catholic, be at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. A sponsor certificate must be signed by the Pastor of their parish, and returned to the Parish Office at least two weeks prior to the Baptism.
For questions or further information, please contact the Parish Office 772-286-4590.
